There were a series of interesting building designs shown at the OCF. Above is an inside view, below is the outside. These are Pacific Domes they sell a portable Geodesic Dome structure. Varying sizes and designed with windows and wood stoves.
Don't say there aren't any bugs in Eugene. Here's proof positive that we have them.
The vendor space does an amazing job (much better than the RenFairs) of blending in with the site and avoiding that "facade" feel that RenFairs often have. Above is a shot of a row of booths. BTW if anyone is looking for design ideas for a LARP permanent structure site take note of the design. They weren't shooting for the Medieval look & feel but they got it.
Another turnout off the streets.
This is a Yurt. To see an outside shot hit their webpage at Pacific Yurts. Their Yurts also employ a canvas wall but are very inexpensive and have heat escapes out the top. They also claim incredible durability (8 year warranty.) The reinforced build looked very durable.
This guy was on the Art Bell show. He teaches people year round how to survive in the wilderness anywhere with nothing but your bare hands. He made his cloths from animals he trapped and only used tools that he made from scratch. The demonstration he was giving at the fair is how to make a firestarting tool sticks and grass.
Another cool rest area off one of the streets.
The back of Jay in his anarchist outfit.
