Welcome to Eugene would you like a Soy Burger?

Our apartment to be is directly across from Autzen Stadium (home of the UofO Ducks.) These pictures are of the parking lot for the stadium (it also doubles as a field and a running track.)

This is one of the walls of the stadium. It is an earthenwork structure (with concrete on the inside forming the stands) and one of the two hills in Eugene. It holds about 40K.

Today is both the Saturday Market/Farmers Market and the "Eugene Celebration". Eugene Celebration is a lot like a cross between Music Midtown and the Arts Festival. Seen above are typical booths; candles, handmade hemp attire and pottery.

Back view of booths featuring the downtown fountain and it's sculptures.

Bicycles are a primary means of transportation in Eugene. Most streets have in Eugene do have car lanes though (seriously.) The above picture should illustrate the point.

A back shot of the Eugene Hash (EH3(I noticed a group of people in Togas and Nikes.)

A shot of the Non-Profit booth area.

Eugene is a city that does not have usual food selection. Above is a menu from the festival (Demaris ate here #1.) They call this cajun.

This is a burger stand at the festival (seriously.)

Bird booth.

Eugene's famous industry (corporate headquarters.)

Scenic countryside on our way to Florence (the coast.)

The coast. Little dots are ducks.

Florence Bridge on the 101 (US 1).

Coastal boating (Florence.)

Florence view from public pier.

A fishing boat selling their catch (the sign says tuna $1.25/lb add $2 for fillet (they're refering to the whole fish.) The tables on the boat have people filleting their catch.

Demaris in her office.

Well this is where we are. The laptop and camera get sent back Tuesday (when my monitor arrives.) Thanks again for the equipment loan.
