As you can see we had the menorah from my grandfathers fixed up at a clock shop in Eugene. The music box mechanism is still a little gummy (50 year old grease) but it does play.

A picture of Jay sitting next to a stuffed Eiffel Tower. What else would it be? Note the stylish beret at the top.

Close-up of the Tower. You might wonder how we'd come about having a stuffed Eiffel Tower. Well, Jay went to Las Vegas for a Magic Tournament. One of the cool new casinos is the "Paris" Casino. It has a 1/3 replica Eiffel Tower standing over the casino & hotel. At the base is a gift shop. They had this cute guy on sale and Jay needed to bring something home and how could anyone refuse those big eyes.

One other note about the Paris Casino. It has the best buffet on the strip. This is not a casual or uniformed decision, Jay has tried the top rated buffets on the strip and the one at Paris is the best. Fresh seafood, Crab, Shrimp. All the Lox (good Lox too) and Bagels you can eat. I recommend having 1/3lb of Lox per bagel - that's seems about the right amount. To make it near perfect, the desserts at the Paris Casino are also amazing. They have a huge bakery, fresh crepes, cakes, cookies. Can't forget the bread pudding or the station where the make crepes up fresh for you and fill it with fresh fruits and/or chocolate. Did I mention the Garlic Mussels or the Asparagus Ravioli?

Holiday Loot.

Demaris by the tree.

Close-up of loot :-).

Presents! Thank y'all!

Remains...

Garden after being plowed under for the season. All that's left is a winter lettuce (back left), Oregano (front left) and Rosemary (front right.) It'll be interesting to see if the Dill returns, it was 4 feet tall during the summer. It's now been pruned back to about 1".
