Happy Holidays!

Hi All,

Hope you've had a (Good/Happy/Merry) (Christmas/Hannakah/Kwanzaa/Solstice/Whatever). The following few pages are Demaris & Jay's Holiday Postcard showing how we spent our holidays. We miss you all and hope to see you soon!

This is our Christmas tree. The image at the very top of this page is what the tree looks like when the lights are off. Demaris decided to put it up in our apartment after deciding we didn't really have room for much else. As you can see, it looks great in the dark. The second image (also above this one) is our Menorah. Some of you might recognize it - it's from my Grandfather's house in Atlanta and has a musicbox built into the base.

Demaris made a Gingerbread house. It finally got eaten at a birthday/holiday party given by a local friend of ours.

House in the making...

Gingerbread House!

Demaris also made latkes one night during Hannakah.

A note on the spelling of "Hannakah". This is probably the only word in this entire document that Jay will take responsibility for the correct spelling of. With that said there are 6 different spellings of the word Hannakah trivially found but this is the spelling that Jay prefers. There is a "religious" issue of the "Ch" vs. "H" at the start. The modern school believes in the "Ch" as it's an attempt to phonetically spell a Hebrew word in English. I prefer the "H" as the English translation of a Hebrew word.
