In the foreground is Dustin Preuitt. He's a friend of ours and is a CIS grad student at the UofO. Behind him you can see some of the "natives", Eugene hippies who were out in moderate numbers for the show. We had free olafactory stimulation from incense and other herbs.

This part of "The Fence" can be seen from where were sitting. Even though there was no fence in front of us (as we had the Millrace as a barrier) since the Millrace is navigatable they fence off the branch that goes around the ampitheatre. You can see a raft outside of the fence. They would row down here and gather to listen just outside Cuthbert on the other side of the island, seen across the water from us. The branch in front of us goes up to the stage.
