Scenec beauty
between Vegas and Boulder City (Hoover Dam.)

Some of the power
towers that take power from the dam.

Faint but center is
a 5X5 square of power towers. Oh, they play info on 530am. Power cables
interfere with Am broadcasts within a few feet. There are power cables
above every few feet.

Power Towers up the
mountain.

Another power block
(there are lots of these.)

Dam.

They have a total
of 17 of these generators. Each produce enough power for about 100,000
people. They also have 2 "big ones." Note the crane-scafold over
head. There are 2 of them each have a 150ton capacity.

The water that
comes out of the generators. This is the base of the dam downstream. Water
is about 60 feet deep.

Same position
looking up the hill.

Same position
looking at the dam.

Looking downstream
(still at the dam base.)

Demaris in the
tunnels (observation and maintainance) inside the dam.

Looking over the
dam at Lake Mead.

Remember the view
looking downstream from the base? This is the same position only at the
top of the dam. Also, bote the tunnel exit (center). Spillway exit.

Shot looking down
and out from top of dam (center.)

Front View of our
hotel. We're in the left tower. Note Merlin center. He gives shows nightly
(animatronic sea monster in the moat, also he welcomes visitors.

New York, New York
Casino. Not shown is the 70' Statue of Liberty and MANY more buildings.
Note the rollercoaster running around the buildings. Not running due to
electrical storms.

A rare casino shot.
Illegal but a bunch of tourist all went up and started photographing so I
grabbed a chance for a photo.

MGM Grand Casino.

The famous resteraunt
that opens at midnight with a skillet of steak and eggs for $5.99.

With much searching
(seriously, I research to find better resteraunts) we found the best
buffet on the strip/in Vegas. Harrah, Harrah. Seen is my plate of peeled,
chilled shrimp and pre-cracked crab legs. The other buffets are really
good but this one is absolutely amazing. The food was better 1for1 than
American Roadhouse. They had chefs to freshly prepare dishes (in large
quantity) but they had an open kitchen behind the buffet tables. Great
Seafood, Fresh Incredible Desserts (They have a Chef who does nothing but
Bananas Foster),. I never got to the Pasta or Mexican, but I tasted the
Fried Rice and Crab Rangoon, great. It was pricy for the strip $12.95 per
person (yes, thatspricey for food here.)

Caesers Palace. Those
horses are life sized and flame cauldrons are very impressive.

It's hard to see but
the Mirage has 2 white bengal tigers (left of center.) The dolphin exhibit
was closed. They also have a rain forest. Sad to say the zoo caliber isn't
great old Atlanta Zoo level. The albino bengals are amazing though.

Mirage Shark tank.
Stretches about 50 feet behind registration.

Caesers Palace has a
large (about Northlake) shopping mall inside of it, all in Roman Decor.
Note the Disney store sculptures. That's Mickey and Donald in the Chariot.

Long mall view. They
adjust the sky - it goes dark at non-resteraunt closing time 11pm on
weekdays.

One of the resteraunts
in the same mall's statuary. Various Greek and Roman figures, Neptune,
Perciles, Datum (center - note the shirt.)

Note the exactly foot
figure (center, back) providing a measuring stick for the actual size
Trojan Horse. This is the enterance to the largest FAO Schwartz in the
country. The horse has cool gears and yes it has a room inside (3rd
floor.)

View of our room note
the medival decor.
J chillin on the recreation furniture. See the turret room back left.
Well, if you can't tell LV is amazing. We're gambling when they give us coupons that shift the odds in our favor. Harrah, Harrah had a new player deal they would cover your loses for the 1st hour of slot machines. Without going into the details of how they work, and various Rat/Lever/Pellet algorithms that they use, take it that we made $63.25 in 15 minutes and since we had no more protection (they only guard you to $0) we left. We've only seen about 20% of the strip.
