San Francisco

We started our day with a tour of the mansions in Pacific Heights. Seen is one of them.

A view of the bay from Pacific Heghts.

Demaris really liked the mansion on the left. I liked the ones to the right.

Sushi. It's whats for lunch.

Trinity Episcopal Church. Great turrets.

Yes, there are still good Reubens in the world, just not in Atlanta anymore. This is the main one. We realized the main branch was in San Fran after lunch (and they had already closed.)

Grace Cathedral is "home church" of the labyrinth movement. Seen above is the outdoor labyrinth. The lighting wasn't good enough for a shot of the indoor one.

Grace Cathedral. Big. It's not stone, apparently if you "beat" concrete you can get a stone like effect. It took them from 1938 to 1964 to build. Really Big.

Nob Hill.

Gate to Chinatown. Where's Demaris?

Trans-Atlantic Pyramid.

"Nank and the whole world Nanks with you. Dinner at the House of Nanking. A P.O.L.C. in Chinatown, sort of a cross between Tortilla's and the V with the Soup Nazi (Seinfeld) in charge. 30 minute wait for what is clearly the best food in Chinatown (as all the people in line would gladly state). The prices are dirt cheap as well, they pack them in like the V on a game day. You go in, you order quickly, you pay them however much they want (always very little) you eat what you're given (they get the meat right) if you vary the S.N. will get out the cleaver or even worse ban you. I thought he was going to execute the silly poof in line who asked for white wine while she waited... The peanut sauce on the Pot Stickers was amazing (center) and the Nanking Chicken was like the best Kung Pau with Sweet Potatoes.
