Redwoods and Eureka, CA

Golden Gate Bridge, painted International Orange.

Hwy 1, near Muir Beach. See the sailboats. They used one of the little fishing villages around here for the Maine town in Murder She Wrote.

One of the Sonoma County Wineries.

More Winery.

Vineyards for above Winery.

Redwoods along U.S. 101. Looks like a scene from Land of the Lost.

Demaris in a Redwood Tree.

More photographic experimentation but it gives you a size of the tree (note Demaris still in the same tree.)

Car parked in Avenue of the Giants.

They have a nice roadside display of the lumbering process. See the logs. We didn't get a good shot of the logs after they became boards.

Dinner at a Eureka Seafood place.

Eureka is a big fishing spot (it's the only major port between Seattle and S.F.) They hatch 90% of California's oysters in the bay (the water's very pure.) We didn't see the bay as the fog rolled in heavily. Nor did we take any pictures of fog; if you'd like to see heavy fog look at the background of the page. We drove around some very nice Victorian Mansions, the shots weren't clean so we'll reshoot in daylight.
